Kristina fran duvemala 1991

In 1991 Bj�rn and Benny started thinking about a new musical. This time it would be a musical in Swedish and based on Swedish history. The trilogy "Emigrants"/"Immigrants"/"The Last Letter to Sweden" written by Wilhelm Moberg was chosen as a basis to the musical. The trilogy is about Swedish emigration to USA in the 19th century.

1991-ben Bj�rn �s Benny egy �j muscal �tlet�n gondolkoztak. Ekkor egy igaz�n sv�d musicalt szerettek volna �rni ami a sv�d t�rt�nelmen alapul. Az Emigr�nsok tril�gia Az utols� lev�l Sv�dorsz�gba c. r�sze lett a musical k�zponti t�rt�nete. Wilhelm Moberg �rta a k�nyvet, amely sv�d emigr�nsokr�l sz�l, akik Amerik�ba menek�ltek a XIX.sz.-ban.
 

In November 1994 when most of the music for the forthcoming musical was written, Bj�rn, Benny and the director Lars Rudolfsson started auditions in order to find the singer. All female singers sang "Someone Else's Story" because, as Benny states, the song is quite complicated and shows directly if you can sing. After some days of auditions with some more than 1 200 singers singing "Someone Else's Story" the choice was made.

Minden n�i �nekes ugyanazt a dalt �nekelte el a Someone else story c. bet�tdalt. Benny szerint ez a dal igaz�n megmutatja hogy az illet� tud-e �nekelni vagy nem, mert nagyon neh�z dal. N�h�ny nap �s 1200 jelentkez� meghallgat�sa ut�n megsz�letett a d�nt�s.

Rehearsals

The rehearsals for "Kristina" were going on during the year 1995 until the premiere in Malm� in October.

Bj�rn's and Agnetha's daughter Linda Ulvaeus played a minor role in the musical as well. The premiere of the musical took place in Malm� on October 7, 1995. The biggest sensation of the evening was attendance of Agnetha F�ltskog.

Bj�rn �s Agnetha l�nya Linda is kapott egy kisebb szerepet a musicalben. A bemutat� okt�ber 7-�n Malm�ben volt. Az est legnagyobb szenz�ci�ja Agnetha Faltskog megjelen�se volt.

The press loved the musical though and it was called for Swedish national musical. It was played in Malm�, G�teborg (The Opera House in 1996) and finally in Stockholm in Circus (1998-99).

BAO

In 2001 Benny formed his own group called simply "Benny Anderssons Orkester". Benny and 13 musicians recorded their first album at Atlantis studio (aka Metronome Studio) in Stockholm. Lyrics to the songs on the forthcoming album were written by Bj�rn Ulvaeus. Benny chose Helen Sj�holm as a singer in Benny Anderssons Orkester.

2001-ben Benny Andersson megalap�totta saj�t egy�ttes�t a Benny Andersson Zenekart. Benny �s 13 m�sik zen�sz alkotta az egy�ttest. Els� lemez�k dalainak sz�veg�t Bj�rn Ulvaeus �rta. Benny Helent v�lasztotta �nekesn�nek az egy�ttesbe.

The debut album was released at the beginning of August 2001. It contained 14 compositions and among them the smash hit in Sweden "Vår sista dans" (Our last dance) with lyrics written by Bj�rn Ulvaeus and performed by Helen Sj�holm.

New single of Benny Anderssons Orkester with Helen Sj�holm "Sommaren du fick" was released in Sweden on 9 June. The single contains two versions of the song - the full length version 5.08 and edit 4.28.

Story of a Heart

The first international album of Benny Andersson Band (in Sweden known as Benny Anderssons Orkester (BAO) was released in Sweden on 24 June 2009 and in the UK and Europe at the beginning of July. The Swedish version of the album contained the Swedish language version of "Story of a Heart" as a bonus track.

In Spring Benny Anderssons Orkester had recording sessions for the forthcoming album which finally got the title "O klang och jubeltid". Benny as usual invited Helena Sj�holm, Tommy K�rberg and even Kalle Moraeus who recorded vocals for most of the tracks on the album.
