In 1971, ABBA sang backing vocals for the singer, who passed away yesterday.
The death of singer Barbro "Lill-Babs" Svensson yesterday is front-page news in Sweden. She made her first record as a 16-year-old back in 1954 and has never quite been out of the spotlight since then: that's 64 years. Sweden's biggest daily, Dagens Nyheter, devoted their entire culture section to her passing today.
Swedish showbusiness being as small as it is, there are many connections between her and ABBA, the most prominent one of course being her 1971 hit single 'Välkommen till världen' ("Welcome To The World", bit.ly/2GW8KVD), which was written by Björn and Benny, and also featured backing vocals by all four future ABBA members. ABBA manager Stig Anderson wrote her 1959 novelty mega-hit, 'Är du kär i mig ännu, Klas-Göran’ ("Are You Still In Love With Me, Klas-Göran", bit.ly/2IqC7fx), which also laid the foundation for his own music business empire.

Az Abba együttessel szoros kapcsolatban volt.
1971-ben Benny és Björn írt neki egy dalt a háttérénekesek között találhatjuk az Abba lányokat. Akkor még nem létezett az Abba együttes, viszont ez volt a legelső alkalom, hogy egy felvételen 4-en közreműködtek.

Gemini
During 1985 Björn and Benny recorded a new pop album with the brother-&-sister group "Gemini". The both singers had participated in the "Chess"-project and both were close friends to the ABBA family.
The album called simply "Gemini" included 6 songs written by Björn and Benny. Two of them were well-known compositions: "Just Like That" (recorded by ABBA in 1982 and never released) and "Slowly" (recorded in 1984 by Frida and released on her album "Shine"). The album was recorded at Polar Music Studios in Stockholm and released by Benny's new production company "Mono Music AB".
The album entered the Swedish LP chart on November 29th, 1985 and stayed there for 6 weeks peaking at #9.
The European release of the album "Gemini" featured different cover but the same track listing.

Gemini - the second album
At the beginning of 1987 Björn and Benny worked again with Karin and Anders Glenmark recording a new album with Gemini. B & B contributed with 6 songs to the LP. The album was recorded at Polar Music Studios in Stockholm and released in April by Mono Music. It became quite big hit on the Swedish charts but not in Europe. Gemini and Benny Andersson went on a promotional trip through Europe. They paid a visit in Moskva where they appeared in a big show hosted by Alla Pugacheva. A Russian version of Gemini's album was released in Sovjet Union.

1987 elején BB ismét a testvérpárral dolgozott új albumukon.
6 dal található az albumon, amin közreműködnek. A Mono Music adta ki az albumot.
Svédországban sikeres volt az album, de Európában nem.
Így Oroszországba mentek reklámozni az albumot, Alla Pugacheva volt a show háziasszonya.

Music by Benny, nothing more to say about the melody. It is enough.
The Royal wedding
Benny contributed to the Swedish Royal Wedding between Princess Victoria and Daniel Westerling with a new composition "Vilar glad. I din famn". The song was performed live on June 19, 2010 and it was released in two versions on a CD single.
Nincs is mit mondani a zenéről, hiszen Benny írta.
Már nagyon régen szerettem volna a gyűjteményemben tudni.
Bennyt felkérték, hogy a svéd koronahercegnő esküvőjére írjon egy dalt.
Ez lett belőle. : )

The year 1972 was a real breakthrough year for Björn and Benny in Japan. In February Epic Japan released their single "She's My Kind of Girl" b/w "Inga theme". The single became a real hit on the Japanese chart reaching #7 and selling almost 200 000 ex.
1972 igazi áttörés volt Benny és Björn számára Japánban ezzel a kislemezzel.
7. volt a slágerlistán és 200 ezret adtak el belőle.

Különleges kislemez a gyűjteményemben.
A Funky feet c. dal BB. szerzeménye 1976-ból, egy időben írták a Dancing queen c. No.1. slágerükkel együtt.
Soha nem jelent meg az Abba előadásában, mert nagyon hasonlít az említett sikerszámra.
Az Abba pont annak köszönheti sikerét, hogy dalaik nem egyformák, mind más.
Így a Hep stars szólistái vették föl kislemezre,/ Benny régi együttese/, Svenne és Lotta.
Nagylemezük is jelent meg Abba dalokkal.
Ez azért különleges, mert csak általuk volt hallható akkoriban.
In 1975, ABBA start recording ‘Dancing Queen’, released as a single in 1976 to become a number one hit all over the world. However, beside 'Dancing Queen', there was a song called 'Funky Feet', recorded in July 1976, which bears a striking similarity but was discarded by ABBA and released as a single by Svenne and Lotta in Scandinavia that same year.

Steps' album is out and people are loving Story of a Heart written by ABBA's Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson
Story of a Heart was penned by Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson in 2009 for the Benny Andersson Band's album of the same name.
The original female vocalist on the track was Swedish singer Helen Sjöholm, but in Steps' version Faye Tozer, Claire Richards and Lisa Scott-Lee sing the verses with Lee Latchford-Evans and Ian "H" Watkins joining on the chorus.
A Steps együttes új albumán egy nagyon jól ismert BB dal szerepel.
Mindenki biztos benne, hogy az albumot minden Abba rajongó kedvelni fogja.

Long awaited item for my collection.
In April 1968 Björn released his very first solo single "Raring" (a Swedish version of the world hit "Honey"). The B-side contained self-penned "Vill du ha en vän?" (Do you want to have a friend?). The single entered the Swedish charts Svensktoppen and Topplistan in June 68 where it reached #7 respective #8.
Rég várt kislemez a gyűjteményemben.
Björn első szólólemeze 1968-ban jelent meg. Agnetha ezt kérte tőle dedikálva, mikor megismerkedtek. Erről beszélt is egy interjúban.
