ABBA Gold Ez a v�logat�s cd 19 Abba sz�mot tartalmaz teljesen �j remaster v�ltozatban. 328 h�tig vezette a sl�gerlist�kat Angli�ban. Hihetelen siker, ami visszahozta az Abb�t a k�ztudatba. Ez a cd az�ta t�bb kiad�s meg�lt m�r �s m�g napjainkban is a sl�gerlist�n tart�zkodik. Kiadtak r�la singles v�logat�sokat is, amelyek az eredeti cd-t n�pszer�s�tik. The compliation "ABBA Gold - Greatest Hits" featured 19 newly remastered hits of ABBA. The CD/2LP saw its release on September 21st, 1992. It entered the Swedish album chart one week later on #10. In the UK "ABBA Gold" entered the chart on October 3rd, 1992 and stayed there for unbelievable 328 weeks reaching #1. It is on charts now again. It has single releases promoting the original Gold cd.

Under Attack - the single in Europe The last single released by ABBA was "Under Attack" b/w "You Owe Me One". The both songs sounded very modern and seemed to be the first try to create a totally new sound based and dominated by Benny's synthesizers. This new sound was not appreciated by the fans in Great Britain where the single reached only #26. It entered the UK chart on December 11, 1982 and stayed there for 8 weeks. "Under Attack" was released in the UK both as a 7" and as a picture disc. Even if Agnetha stated in the newspaper that ABBA did not exist any more it was not officially confirmed and the group's new single "Under Attack" was released in Sweden on  February 21st, 1983. The single did not make the Swedish hit chart though.   Az utols� kislemez ami megjelent az Abb�t�l az Under attack �s a You owe me one c. dalok voltak. Az Under attack c. dal megjelent k�pes lemezen is Angli�ban, illetve maxi lemezk�nt is. /Nekem is nagyon furcsa volt ez a hangz�s els�re �s nem is akartam elhinni, hogy ezt a sz�mot az Abba �nekli./   Mikor Agnetha azt nyilatkozta az egyik sv�d �js�gban hogy az Abba nem l�tezik t�bb�, ut�na ezt hivatalosan senki nem jelentette be. �gy 1983 febru�rj�ban megjelent az Under attack c. sz�muk Sv�dorsz�gban is. A sl�gerlist�n nem ker�lt az els�k k�z�.

The Day Before You Came - the single The single "The Day Before You Came" b/w "Cassandra" was released on 8  October 1982. The release of "The Day Before You Came" was a big surprise for ABBA fans by that time. Completely different tune to the previous ABBA singles full of melancholy, sounding a bit computer-mechanically with Agnetha's sad voice and Frida in background vocals far away. Completely surprising and different even because of its length of 5.50 - only 1 second shorter than ABBA's longest song ever recorded "Eagle" (5.51). After the first hearing of the song everybody thought that it was not the same ABBA who performed "Dancing Queen" or "Voulez-Vous" or "Head Over Heals" only 10 months earlier - it was ABBA who tried to say good-bye to their fans even if all four members denied it strongly in the UK TV show "The Late Late Breakfast Show" one month later. The autumn 1982 was dark and rainy and hearing "The Day Before You Came" on the radio chart was a very special moment which many old ABBA fans still remember. The B-side song "Cassandra" featuring Frida in lead-vocals was much more typical ABBA song in the same style as "Fernando" and "Chiquitita".   Ez a kislemez 1982 okt�ber�ben jelent meg. Ez az az Abba volt aki pr�b�lt b�cs�t inteni  rajong�inak, ahogy azt meg is tett�k a Late late breakfast show-ban. Erre a dalra minden rajong� nagyon j�l eml�kszik �s a k�l�nleges pillanatra is. A lemez B oldal�n tal�lhat� Cassandra Frida sz�l�j�val tipikus Abba dal pont olyan st�lusban mint a Fernando vagy a Chiquitita.

1982 november�ben jelent meg ez a dupla lemezes kiad�s. Egyben ez volt az ut�ls�, amelyen �j st�di� felv�tel ker�lt kiad�sra. /The day before you came, Under attack/ A k�t lemezen 23 Abba dal hallhat�, v�logat�s legnagyobb sikereikb�l. A lemez nem tartalmaz semmilyen le�r�st az egy�ttes p�ly�j�r�l, sem semmilyen inform�ci�t. Egyed�l a lemezek bor�t�ja egyedi 1-1 lemez bor�t� k�p�t tal�lhatjuk rajtuk.         Ehhez a lemezhez nagyon kedves eml�kem f�z�dik. �desap�mt�l kaptam meg, k�lf�ldr�l hozta meg nekem, mert itthon nem lehetett kapni. Mikor el�sz�r hallottam az Under attack c. sz�mukat a r�di�ban, nem akartam elhinni, hogy ez Abba sz�m. Sok ismer�s�m csod�lkozott is ezen. Ez volt az a lemez, amelyr�l t�bbsz�r meg tudtam hallgatni az �j dalokat �s bel�ttam, t�nyleg Abba sz�m.         The Singles - The First Ten Years The double compilation album "The Singles - The First Ten Years" saw its release on November 8, 1982 in Sweden. It was the very last ABBA album containing new studio recordings (The Day Before You Came and Under Attack). Totally "The Singles" contained 23 single hits from Ring Ring to One Of Us. The album did not contain any special booklet with the story of the group or any other summary of ABBA's first ten years only four pictures from different periods of the group's career on the innersleeves. Several single hits were surprisingly not included on "The Singles" - songs as Head Over Heels, Lay All Your Love On Me, Angeleyes, Honey Honey are only some examples. "The Singles - The First Ten Years" entered the Swedish LP chart on December 7, 1982 and it stayed there for only 6 weeks peaking at #19.   This LP has a very nice memory for me. I got it from my father he bought to me it when he was in Holland. Here in Hungary it never released. I remember, when I listen to the song Under attack first on the radio I won't believe it is an Abba song. Finally I could listen to the new songs from this LP again and again and I had to believe this is an Abba song.

1979 a gyermekek �ve volt �s az UNICEF g�la koncertet szervezett New Yorkban janu�r 9-�n. Az itt fell�p� egy�ttesek, �nekesek felaj�nlottak egy-egy dalt, amelynek �sszes d�j�t az UNICEF kapta meg. Seg�tve ezzel a neh�z sors� gyermekek �let�t. Az Abba egy�ttes vadonat�j dalt aj�nlott fel a Chiquitita-t. Ez a koncert volt a dal premierje is itt mutatt�k be el�sz�r nagy nagy sikerrel.     Az �j dal, t�bb mint 4 milli� doll�rt hozott az UNICEF-nek. A koncert v�g�n az �sszes el�ad� egy�tt �nekelte az Abba r�gi sl�ger�t a He is your brother-t.     The first public appearance of  ABBA took place on the Unicef gala in New York on 9 January 1979. The group performed their brand new song "Chiquitita" with Agnetha's lead vocal.     At the end of the show all participating artists sang ABBA's 1973 hit "He is Your Brother". Chiquitita gave more than 4 million dollars for UNICEF.          A dal megjelent UNICEF v�ltozatban, k�z�sen egy kislemezen a Bee Gees dal�val a Too much heaven-nel. The Visitors cd-n   Ez az album jelent meg el�sz�r cd-n. Bennyt �s Bj�rnt megh�vt�k a Polydor C�ghez, hogy hallgass�k meg az �j cd lej�tsz�t �s hanghordoz�t, a cd-t. 1982. �sz�n jelent meg, majd k�s�bb 1983. m�rcius�ban Angli�ban is kiadt�k. Az�rt v�ratott mag�ra  a megjelen�s, mert  �gy hallott�k az egyik felv�telen hiba van. Nem tudni melyiken. "The Visitors" was the first ABBA album which was issued on CD by Polydor in West Germanyin the autumn of 1982. In Great Britain the CD release of "The Visitors" had to wait until March 1983. While they were listening to the album they heard a fault in one of the tracks (unknown which one) which they thought was a fault on the disc. But not - the fault was in the recording! The engineers explained that that section had been mastered conventionally without the use of digital gear.   Golden Gramophone     Az Abba egy�ttes 1982-ben kapta meg ezt a d�jat  a Polydor c�gt�l, �k voltak a legsikeresebb el�ad�k az eladott lemezek sz�m�t tekintve. Els�k voltak abban is, hogy megkapt�k ezt a d�jat, mert csak n�met el�ad�k vehett�k �t. Ez volt az els� alkalom, hogy k�lf�ldi el�ad�nak �t�lt�k oda.     Golden Gramophone for ABBA In 1982 ABBA were honoured with the prestigious "Golden Gramophone Award" for their success as Polydor's top selling act in 1981. The Golden Gramophone went mainly to classical artists in Germany. This was the first time five of the gramophone replicas went to an act outside Germany.     Nagyon szerencs�s vagyok, ezt a d�jat l�thattam eredetiben az Abbaworld ki�ll�t�son Gy�rben. Never again duett Tomas Ledinnel Agnetha �s Tomas a felv�telekn�l nem tal�lkoztak a st�di�ban, k�l�n-k�l�n vett�k fel a sz�lamokat. M�gis �gy hangzik, mintha egy�tt lettek volna. A B oldalon Tomas �nekli  a Just for the fun c. sz�m�t.        Never Again - duet with Tomas Ledin The single "Never Again" performed together by Agnetha and Tomas was promoted internationally. The B-side of the single contained "Just for the Fun" performed by Tomas Ledin. Agnetha and Tomas did not meet each other in the studio. They recorded their vocals separately even if it sounds as a very near studio collaboration.     Spanyolorsz�gban angol �s spanyol nyelv� v�ltozata is megjelent. Ez a spanyol v�ltozat  D�l-Amerik�ban is kiad�sra ker�lt.   In Spain the single was released in two versions - the first single featured an English language version of "Never Again" and the second single featured a Spanish version which was entitled "Ya nunca m�s". A st�di�ban   Frida Phil Collinst szerette volna felk�rni �j lemeze producer�nek. Ez a v�gya teljes�lt is. Collins egy�ttes�vel a Genesis-szel Stockholma rep�lt �s az Abba zen�szeivel k�z�sen megkezd�d�tt a lemez felv�tele. Miut�n Frida kiv�lasztott 11 �j sz�mot, amit Stephen Bishop, Bryan Ferry, Phil Collins, Tomas Ledin and Per Gessle a Roxettb�l �rtak. Teljesen �j hangz�s� sz�mokat v�logatott ki a lemezre.  �j �s k�l�nb�z� hangz�st  szeretett volna.           Something's Going On - the recording sessions Frida's wish was that Phil Collins would produce the album and she got as she wanted. Collins schedule was not so tight by that time and he came to Stockholm together with his musicians. Collins' group Genesis and Lyngstad's group ABBA had not so much in common musically and maybe that's why Frida chose Collins as a producer. She wanted to do something new and completely different. Frida had chosen 11 songs for her new album. Frida els� angol nyelv� albuma volt az Abb�n k�v�l az eg�sz vil�gon megjelen� lemez.  Nagyon k�l�nleges hangz�s� album lett.  Nehezn v�lasztott�k ki a sz�mot, amely kislemezen is megjelent. V�g�l a c�mad� dal ker�lt fel az SP-re. Ez nagy sikert aratott mind Eur�p�ban, mind az USA-ban.            "Something's Going On" - the album The album "Something's Going On" was released at the end of the summer 1982. Frida's first English language album was the very first solo project of an ABBA member which was released world-wide. Lots of publicity around the production of this album and of course the star cooperation Frida-Phil made all fans extremely curious about the result. The album had a very special sound which was a mixture of Collins, Earth Wind and Fire and of course Frida's voice. It contained 11 tracks but it was quite difficult to find songs for single releases which according to several ABBA biographers made co-producer Stikkan Anderson worried about commercial future of the album. A v�ros ki�ll�t�st rendezett az egy�ttest bemutat� eml�kekb�l, hangys�lyt helyezve a v�ros �js�gj�ban megjelent h�rekre �s k�l�nleges eddig m�g meg nem jelent k�pekre.       ABBA exhibition in Vallentuna   The local authorities in Vallentuna outside Stockholm promote the municipality with ABBA's help. The ABBA members lived in Vallentuna between 1972 and 1975 and the authorities promote the commune by among others an ABBA exhibition in Vallentuna center in autumn 2011. Earlier in the autumn 2011 there was a big ABBA feature in Vallentuna's local newspaper with several previously unpublished pictures of the group taken just in Vallentuna in the early days.                /Info Raffem/
